His individual coexistence is inseparable from the general cosmic manifestations. Ayupveda looks at health and “illness” from a holistic point of view, which reflects:

  • the relationship between the individual and the cosmic soul,
  • between the individual and the cosmic consciousness, energy and matter.

The outcome of the disease can be physical or physical. Physical illnesses are caused by excessive use of our senses, by improper sleep, or by non-compliance with seasonal or inflammatory diseases. The karmic diseases are a consequence of our wrong actions in this or some previous life.

What is Cosmic Consciousness?

To get to the heart of Ayurveda, we need to be aware of the essence of all its factors, such as Cosmic Consciousness. It is a very important concept. This is the consciousness that exists in every soul.

It is the pattern sealed in the mind in anticipation of being awakened by the free will, the consciousness of the union of the Soul with the Creator. This consciousness is embedded, or pre-built into the mind, and when one awakens from the proper use of free will, one realizes his union with the Cosmic Mind.

This Cosmic Consciousness works like instinct. It is already inside us; you just need the right incentive to bring it to light. It is the same with Cosmic Consciousness. The cosmic Conscious Mind in all of us is the particle made in the image of the creator, as it is written in Genesis.

It is this part of us that is God or divine. The cosmic Conscious Mind is separated from all earthly and makes its presence known or knowable only when the self-Soul ascends and parts of consciousness ascend to the vast, spacious level, which is superconscious.

If we want to awaken the sealed pattern of this consciousness, we just need the right stimulus. In this case, the right stimulus is to exercise our free will in a certain way, as we love unselfishly. And that’s exactly how difficult it is for many people.

After clarifying and examining the essence of Cosmic Consciousness, we can speak of Ayurveda with a clearer idea.

Ayurveda is an eternal science and there is hope that everything mentioned here will be useful to the reader in all cases of his life.

How does Ayurveda view the main branches of medicine?

Ayurveda talks about eight main branches of medicine:

  • pediatrics
  • gynecology
  • obstetrics
  • ophthalmology
  • gerontology
  • otolaryngology (ear, throat, nose)
  • conventional medicine

Each of these medical disciplines is considered according to the theory of the five elements (ether, air, fire, water, earth); the theory of the tridosha or the three components of the body; seven date, or tissues of the body; three small ones (urine, feces, sweat) and the triads of life – body, mind and spiritual consciousness.

The five elements in the world – air, space (ether), fire, water and earth define the three doshas. According to Ayurveda, disease is a natural end result of a way of life that is not in harmony with human nature. The so-called dosha is the balance of energies in our bodies and minds. It describes who you are at the most basic level. This unique balance of energies determines everything from bone structure to predisposition to certain health challenges.

Our constitution describes what attracts us in a natural way, as well as what repulses us, what is inherent in our nature and what throws us off balance and makes us ill. According to Ayurveda the path to health is different for each person and depends on his dosha, because the balance of energies is different for each person. Ayurvedic therapies include not only diet and spices, but also aroma therapies, detoxification, yoga and meditation.

Where to start: The doctrine of the three Doshas

The application of Ayurveda requires first to determine your dosha and from there to change your habits. To have a clearer idea, we will describe the three doshas.

The three doshas in Ayurveda are called vata, pita and kafa. We are a combination of the three doshas, but the balance of these energies is different for each person. In some people one of them dominates, while in others it is a mixture of two or three doshas.

They are determined by the five main elements:

  • cotton wool – air and space
  • pie – fire and water,
  • coffee – earth and water.

At the most basic level, Pita is our metabolism, Kapha is our structure, and Vata is the mobility that gives life and action to the essence. Without the three energies, we simply will not exist.

Vata dosha is composed of the elements air and space and has qualities similar to these elements. Cotton wool is very similar to the wind – light, cool, dry and mobile. People with such a constitution also have many of these qualities. Their bodies are light and slender, they move and talk fast.

These qualities are also noticeable in their personal characteristics – they are talkative, enthusiastic, creative, flexible and energetic. Vata is responsible for the nervous system, energy level, mind, sleep.

When out of balance, these people lose weight, weaken their immunity and nervous system, focus and make decisions, have trouble sleeping. This is noticed when they are under stress, then they are overwhelmed by cold emotions such as anxiety, worry, tension. , fears and depression.

Pita is composed of the elements fire and water, with fire dominating. The pie is hot, sharp and insightful, and somehow changeable. They feel warm in their body and have somewhat oily skin, penetrating eyes and sharp features. They often have moderate weight and good muscles.

When out of balance, heartburn, allergies, blood problems and anger can occur. Pita dosha is responsible for digestion, metabolism, intellect and emotions.

People with the Pita Constitution like to solve problems and when they are under stress they take a firm stand. They can become quite tense and speak with sharp language. They are very focused, ambitious, capable, brave, energetic and clear in communication, express themselves accurately. They can be wonderful friends and fearful enemies. They are emotionally shaken by hot emotions such as fear, resentment and jealousy.

In Kafa dosha the elements water and earth dominate. Just like these elements, Kapha is cool, moist, stable and heavy. In the body, these qualities are manifested as thick, heavy bones, shiny and soft skin, slow metabolism and a large, healthy figure.

Coffee represents the structure of the body. People who have Kapha dosha are often cold. When balanced Kapha gives strength, vitality and good immunity. When out of balance, people with a dominant Kapha dosha become lazy, can gain weight, and have little energy.

The elements water and earth are also reflected in the personality of people with Kafa dosha They are stable and not prone to many changes. They cope well with stress or don’t even notice it. They are generally conservative and prefer to keep things as they are.

People with such a constitution seek comfort, which is related to the soft, watery nature of Kapha. But too much comfort can result you of motivation and a sense of sedentary. When coffee is out of balance, severe emotions such as lethargy and depression appear.
