- Crush a few grains of black pepper. The light variety is better.
- Pour a small amount of coconut or almond milk into a glass. Pour the turmeric (full tablespoon) with the black pepper and mix until homogeneous.
- Distribute the liquid mixture evenly in two drinking glasses.
- Heat 1 liter of coconut or almond milk. It is important not to let the milk boil, as this will cause it to boil. Also, it can worsen the end result of consuming the drink.
- Pour the milk into the two cups and stir.
- Add organic honey to sweeten the taste.
Do not subject honey to temperatures above 42 degrees Celsius, part of its composition will decompose. To make sure the temperature is acceptable, dip your finger in the mixture. If your finger feels comfortable at this temperature, add honey.
If desired, you can add a quarter teaspoon of ginger, cinnamon or hot red pepper. Fresh almonds, cinnamon sticks or even oats can be added for extra flavor.
If the goal is to relieve a sore throat, add half a teaspoon of ghee to the warm mixture before drinking it. Ghee will melt and soothe your cough.
